Barbara is delighted to return to FCCAM and to have the opportunity to participate in the vision that brings alternative health solutions to the Fort Collins community.
She has been working in the healing arts since 1994 and brings with her a lifetime belief that we are all self-healing and self regulating organisms.
Barbara's career as a massage therapist began when an inner voice urged her to start her journey in health and wellness. So, she followed her vision and moved to Fort Collins, CO from Flagstaff, AZ to attend the Healing Arts Institute. Her introduction to Network Spinal Analysis (NSA) and Somato Respiratory Integration (SRI) also had a profound influence on the service she provides to her clients.
The foundation of the body work that Barbara practices is based on the principles of NSA and SRI. SRI creates a bridge between the conscious mind, the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies, and the energy stored as tension in the structure. “When we make these connections, we create new strategies for healing.”
Other modalities that Barbara weaves into her practice include Thai Yoga Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Cerebro Spinal Fluid Massage and Aromatouch Technique.
Barbara and her husband spend their time at home hiking, bicycling and tending their garden, with the assistance and supervision of Kali their dog child.
