"How do I know what to pay?"

Many of our patients ask us how they should pay on the flexible fee system. Here is our answer!

We use a flexible fee system because we want as many people as possible to be able to afford the health care they need. Without this system lower income people wouldn't be able to afford our massages, acupuncture or energy work.

We know that what a person can afford to pay differs not only per person, it also varies with the same person over time depending on how finances are going - which is their business, not ours, and that's why we don't require any sort of income verification. We trust people! So we leave it to each patient/client to decide for themselves what they can afford to pay. We do invite and depend upon people to pay the actual "value" of the service on the high end of the sliding scale, but we don't want people to pay so much that they have a hard time affording coming back for the frequency of support they need.

The short answer to your question is probably best put as: "We invite you to pay as much as you comfortably can, but feel free to pay a little as you need! And please know we respect and appreciate your decision whatever it is!"

Policies & Guidelines

We promise to provide you caring, affordable and effective complementary health service. We have helped thousands of people achieve better health and happiness. We are committed to helping YOU achieve that too!

By understanding and following the below policies, you will help us best serve you and our other patients. We wish to thank YOU for doing your part in helping us serve so many, so successfully, so affordably!
  • Please download and complete your new client forms specific for the service you are receiving to bring with you or arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Feel free to print them on standard sized recycled paper.
  • Missed appointments and cancellations with less than 24 hours prior notice ARE ASSESSED A LATE FEE. We appreciate your understanding our need to consistently apply this policy, which helps us continue to serve you and your neighbors high quality, affordable health care services. When you do not show up for your appointment, we still pay our providers who are here waiting to serve you! We ask that this fee be paid by phone on the day in which you No-Show.
  • Patients who arrive late for their appointment may have their treatment cut short. And if you arrive too late altogether, we may not be able to see you if our schedule is full. We know there are times when being late is not in your control! Please call us if you know you are running late and we'll make every effort to help you keep your appointment.
  • Length of time for acupuncture appointments: Please note that "new patient" appointments are for about one hour even though it says 20 minutes when you book online. 20 minutes is your "consultation and treating time," while the remainder of the hour is with you gently resting with your needles in place. Please expect your "returning patient" appointments to take about 40 minutes. The length of your treatment is determined by your body's specific needs. Some people's bodies need longer treatments while others do not. Your body and your acupuncturist will guide you.
  • Length of time for Therapeutic Massage is exactly the time specified for the type of massage you schedule. Plan 60 minutes for a 60 minute massage for example.
  • A special note about Acupuncture services:  We provide a variety of treatment services, prescribed according to our understanding of your unique needs. Please note that cupping is considered a stand-alone treatment. This means that if you want cupping in addition to treatment with needles, then you will need to schedule, and pay for, two separate appointments.
  • Herbal Consultations and Nutrition Consultations are 30 minute appointments. Please call our office to schedule an Herbal or Nutrition Consultation or you can schedule your consultation on line. We also offer a follow-up Herbal Consultation that is 20 minutes long.
  • All of our services are offered for an affordable flexible fee payment system. You decide what fits your budget! No income verification. Please note: you receive the same level of service regardless of the fee level you choose to pay. A one-time $10 administrative fee is added for new acupuncture patients.
  • Regarding Tipping: Tipping is a very personal practice for both the giver and the receiver of the therapy. If you would like to leave a tip please let the receptionist know or leave it with your provider. You are under no obligation to leave a tip for any of our services but if you do, your full tip goes to the intended provider!

Thank you for reviewing our policies!
Please call our office if you have any questions!

Important Scheduling Information!

If using a Living Social, Groupon or any type of "Deal" voucher, PLEASE CALL TO SCHEDULE - 970-282-8300 Fort Collins or
970-617-2566 Loveland.

PLEASE CALL TO SCHEDULE A PRENATAL MASSAGE. Doctor's note may be required.

The "20 minute" first-time patient acupuncture appointment is actually a one hour appointment! And the "10 minute" returning patient appointment is for 30-60 minutes (as determined by what your body needs). 20 and 10 minutes are the "treating times" after which you rest in place for the remainder of your appointment until the needles are taken out.
